Dream Weaver
Too many dire thoughts
There they are, can’t you see?
Floating before my eyes
Oh, how I drown in this sea….
My legs pushing fast
Reaching out once more
I will not go down so easy
Clenching teeth, I swore.
Why won’t the noises stop?
I pray for a moment of reprieve
I beg for some sign of mercy…
Alas, the dream weaver only weaves
The sun finally strikes my eyes
Never sleep, never again
I am too tired to do such a thing
Restful sleep, wished for in vain
Memories from so long ago
Enter a world that was once my own
Sanctuary that I had is no more
And the dream weaver has overthrown.
