Humans are all the same,
Yet – so very different.
Fears bring us to shame…
Though we can be brilliant.
Speaking before an eager crowd,
Some watch with an open mind.
Still; fear of judgment rings so loud
Leaving courage hard to find.
Is speaking publicly so petrifying?
What can they really do?
Mind left with thoughts so terrifying,
Wanting to live up to a world view.
Wouldn’t it be fair, then, to discern?
It’s not the speaking which leaves us affected….
Rather, it’s needing acceptance that we so yearn.
The true fear is – really – being rejected.

The poem written was for today’s daily post prompt.
Fear is a crippling side effect and, sometimes, it is very easy to get caught up in that train of thought. I remember, long ago, I was watching a movie with my Dad. It had John Candy in it and was called Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.
The short speech he spoke below has been in my mind when I’ve felt low. There is always someone out there, something, that is positive. We just have to look for it to break through to the otherside.
Hope you all have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by.
Love and Light to you always,
~Susan
